Great mountain scenery and plenty of hiking trails nearby. the breakfast was decent, and the coffee was pretty good. the gym and spa facilities were modern and clean, providing a nice escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.
The room was below average, outdated furniture, small and not romantic at all. the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, almost ruining our romantic escape.

The location is splendid. The view from the wellness meadow and the restaurant terras is wonderful.
The former luxury of the Galya Hotel has been lost completely. The buffet dinner is miserable nowadays - for their beef stew they even used machine-cut little cubes of beef that one would expect to find in an institution cantine - a school or hospital etc - not in a four-star hotel. Only the cheapest form of sliced cold meat and the most tasteless cheese was available at breakfast. The coffee was instant. What has happened to Hungest? The facilities for children are very good, but why did they have to put the playground right next to the wonderful terras and wellness rest area? Surely the children would have been just as happy in another part of the lovely park. Now, a romantic dinner is impossible - the restaurant closes early and at 21.00 the children are still having a wonderful time, jumping up and down on the big trampoline, screaming with joy - just a few metres from the dinning tables. It's a waste of what was once a wonderul restaurant.

The location was fantastic, surrounded by a peaceful forest and with a stunning view of the valley. The gym and wellness facilities were great, and we particularly enjoyed the sauna and swimming pool. The food was delicious and abundant, with plenty of local dishes to try.
The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some refurbishment. The lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms was inconvenient, as we had to go to the lobby to get connected.
